I've gotten some great feedback about this blog by email. Here's what came from Cousin Carleen in Colorado:

Your entry and picture of the logging truck made us laugh......we remembered our trip to the Oregon coast several years ago.

As we descended the steep west slope of the Cascades, a fully-loaded logging truck was right on our back bumper. Imagine our horror when it dawned on us that we displayed a bright green-and-white "Sierra Club" bumper sticker in our back window! We'll never forget that.
